JACK PARKINSON-BLACKBURN dropped just one point on another sensational night in the National League.

The 16-year-old bagged a stunning tally of 17 - but from a team point of view Birmingham suffered their first defeat of the season as they lost 46-44 at Stoke.

Said Parkinson-Blackburn: "Obviously we're disappointed but we have to learn from it and move on.

"The track was quite tricky early on but it slickened off after a while and we did get into it.

"We got off to a fairly slow start, we did manage to pull it back towards the end but we just made too many mistakes unfortunately.

"We're a young team though, we've had a few injuries, and not too many other teams would have gone and got a league point like we did.

"Personally, I was actually feeling ill most of the night!

"I didn't feel too good at all but I had to forget about that until after the meeting and go out there and do my job for the team.

"I'm really happy with how things are going so far this season, especially at Birmingham.

"I won't get carried away though. I'll be keeping my feet on the ground and working as hard as I can to keep my form going."
